Direct Support Supervisor (Full-Time) $15,000 hiring/retention BONUS!!!!*


GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:  The Direct Support Supervisor is responsible for the overall operation of one Community Residential setting.  Primary duties include, but are not limited to: training, supervision, evaluation and management of the Direct Support Professional staff.  In addition, the Supervisor also assures proper implementation of Valiant Living policies and procedures; supervises and assists in the coordination and implementation of Individual Program Plans which includes programs in activities of daily living, community integration, socialization, health management, etc.  Provide direct support activities and supervision of the individuals supported to help them achieve their personal goals.

REPORTS TO: Residential Director

AVERAGE STARTING SALARY RANGE: $23.50 – $28.75 per hour depending on education/experience. We pay a $4 per hour differential for hours worked from 5:00 on a Friday through Sunday at midnight. *applicants must be employed with Valiant Living for one successful full year in the position they are hired for to be eligible for a hiring or retention bonus.

HOURS:  12:30pm – 10:30pm weekdays; 12:30pm – 10:30pm every other weekend, on call during the week for your work site house, on call rotation every 8th weekend for all locations


  1. High School Diploma/GED required.  Must be 18 years of age.
  2. Ability to lift at least 50-60 lbs.
  3. Present self and organization in a positive and professional manner.
  4. Supports and contributes to an overall environment of trust, sharing and growth through leadership and direction of the DSP’s.
  5. Complete all paperwork thoroughly, correctly and on a timely basis.
  6. Creates an environment in which best practices are promoted.
  7. Perform all job duties with Valiant Living mission, vision and values in mind.
  8. Able to exercise sound judgment in an emergency situation.
  9. Able to effectively manage multiple tasks.
  10. Ability to successfully complete mandatory training, in services and Medication Administration class.
  11. Valid driver’s license and safe driving record required.
  12. Pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
  13. 2 years of previous supervisory experience in a related field of work.
