Day Services Direct Support Professional; Full-Time, $18.00 – $18.75 per hour

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:  

Provide services and supports for adults with developmental disabilities. Responsibilities include implementing programs as determined by the person’s planning team, attending to health and medical needs, following general and specific behavior management practices, completing preventive maintenance. Daily cleaning duties, documenting accurate records of services provided. You may have to assist with transports in the afternoon.

REPORTS TO:  Day Services Supervisor

STARTING SALARY:  $18.00 – $18.75 per hour, depending on education/experience.

WORK SCHEDULE: 

QUALIFICATIONS:           

1. HS diploma/GED required.
2. Must be 18 years of age.
3. Understanding and knowledge of the IEP process is preferred.
4. Able to exercise sound judgement in an emergency situation.
5. Excellent interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to actively engage persons supported
7. Ability to coordinate activities and services.
8. Good oral and written communication skills.
9. Able to lift at least 50 to 60 lbs. depending on area of work.
10. Hold a valid driver license and must be insurable by the agency insurance carrier.
11. Ability to successfully complete mandatory trainings, in-services and Medication Administration class.
12. Pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
